One of the city’s largest and most beautiful parks in Salt Lake is called Sugar House Park. There is a creek running right through the park, which feeds into a duck pond on the west end. It doesn’t matter what season you visit – March is great for flying kites, see the baby ducklings in the spring. Festivals and marathon’s can be found all year around.

Several large pavilions are available for booking, to have a family reunion, birthday party or just a big get together – but call early since they tend to go fast.

Stop by for a jog around the paved roads, or walk around the trail that lines the park’s outer edge. Or, simply lie in the grass and watch the many squirrels.

The section of Salt Lake called Sugar House also has many charming little stores and coffee houses. This section of town is rich with history, Sugar House was established in 1853 – (more history) and if visiting Salt Lake your will love this quaint little area of Salt Lake.

Sugar House is located within the Salt Lake City grid system roughly from about 500 East at its western edge to 2100 East at the east and 1300 South to 2700 South north to south.
